The University of Southern Indiana, also called USI, is a liberal arts school with its down communications department. 32-Hour B.A. in Communication

Though Valparaiso offers two different communications programs, it designed this 32-hour program for those who aren’t sure if they want to go to graduate school and students who do not have any set career goals or plans. You’ll need to complete all general education requirements to get a solid foundation and understanding of different subjects, but you’ll also take 32 communication classes that include persuasion and advocacy, communication processes and practices, public relations principles and communication law and ethics. Valparaiso also requires that communications students take nine credits from a concentration area such as communication law, journalism, public relations or general communications.

40-Hour B.A. in Communication

The university designed its 40-hour program to follow the requirements of other Bachelor’s in Communications programs in Indiana. This program is best for those who want to study one area of communications more in depth and those who want to go on to graduate school. It includes the same required courses as the 32-hour program like communication law and ethics and persuasion and advocacy. You’ll get three credits for the capstone project that you do in your final semester and two credits for an internship.
